Robin Neely

Robin Neely has been a stained glass maker for 39 years. She held the position as the Project Manager for the renowned Greenland Studio in New York City. and studied traditional stained glass painting with Albinus Elskus at the Parsons School of Design. In 1991, she opened The Neely Studio in Maine, concentrating on complex stained glass restorations. Robin recently completed a commission for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and is now consulting with the museum to help prepare their Tiffany & LaFarge stained glass windows for the museum's new addition. Her major projects also include the conservation of the Maine Senate windows, the Maine State Museum collection, and the skylight at the Victoria Mansion Museum. Consulting is a large part of Ms. Neely's work and she recently completed a project that involved the conservation of two monumental John LaFarge windows. Robin has received five Maine Preservation's Historic Preservation Awards for Excellence in Stained Glass Restoration. In addition to owning the studio, Ms. Neely has served as the stained glass conservator for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Maine since 1993.
