This course is for nature lovers who would like to know how to draw the natural forms gathered from the woodlands, meadows, and seashore. Find out ways to capture the character of your subject from a delicate feather to driftwood or seaweed. Learn how to draw in proportion and how to shade to give your drawing visual depth, how to interpret details for emphasis and develop compositional studies to create a compelling drawing about nature. You will also learn how to work with the graphite pencil through lots of pencil techniques and also be introduced to charcoal and conte if you wish to try your hand at either. This class is for all levels of students, beginners welcome.
