Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00 PM (May 18 - June 22)

Using a live model reference, we will design and build armatures to sculpt a standing figure in clay. Techniques for modeling from direct observation will be taught, including working with movement, proportion, volumes and planes, and the impact of gesture to create visual form. Water clay is part of the lab fee. Those who wish to sculpt in plasticene (oil based clay) must provide their own. Ordering info is available upon request. Those who wish to make a mold of their piece for casting may join the Garden Sculpture class for the mold making sessions.
