Sit amongst poppies, peonies, irises and roses and experience the pleasure of drawing spring flowers in some of the loveliest historic gardens in the local seacoast area. Draw in a sketchbook with colored pencils to capture the natural way flowers grow in the garden under the guidance of a botanical art instructor. Learn to sketch groups of flowers quickly and capture individual details. This class will help you to increase your observational skills, so essential in botanical drawing. You will learn to read the individual features of flowers and observe the way they grow in their natural garden environment. The first class meets at Sanctuary Arts to learn some pencil techniques and receive handouts. Rainy days will also be held at Sanctuary Arts to draw flowers.
