Drawing plants and forms from nature, students will learn the tradition of botanical drawing using graphite pencils. This ancient art form is an exploration and journey into nature, recording what is seen with precision. The close scrutiny reveals botanical features that can be identified through the rendition of a beautiful drawing. This course will cover learning the art of pencil rendering with lots of technique exercises, including how to draw in proportion, creating visual depth, and foreshortening.
