This class is designed for complete beginners to explore the creation of three-dimensional form through clay and wax modeling and alabaster carving. The representation and abstraction of the human figure and the techniques of relief modeling will be explored, along with some simple mold making, plaster and cement casting and the preparation of clay pieces for firing.
