SA 4: Foundry Prep: Mold Making and Wax Casting for Bronze

Designed for the sculptor looking to make rubber molds in the pursuit of bronze casting (or a variety of other casting materials), this class will cover the process of rubber mold making with a plaster mother mold, casting a hollow wax and a hard plaster copy. Wax as a material will be explored and the student can expect to leave with a foundry quality wax and finished plaster. A limited amount of time for creating the sculpture is available, so the more prepared the student is with an object, the better.
