To achieve a hollow form or multiples of a form for a linked piece of jewelry, a die must be made to form the metal. We will spend the day learning how to create a die for a symmetrical shape to be formed. Dies can be created by using simple shop items such as masonite, aluminum and plexiglass. We will use hand tools to form the metal, as well as a press.
