This course will be for the painter of any level, beginner or advanced. We will focus on the craft of using oil to imitate what we see and apply this to canvas. We will start out with multiple tonal studies, minimizing the palette, in order to "see" the midtones which exist within an object. Then we will dissect various colors into their basic components, learning to "see" how each color plays a role, in terms of quantity, in interpreting what we see. Light will be a constant focus, using it creatively and uniquely to explore the various objects and figures that are studied.
