(June 18 - July 30)
This is a beginner class on basic jewelry making techniques. We will cover traditional techniques as well as variations of these methods with some helpful bench tips. Through demonstrations and lots of time to work, students will learn basic techniques such as sawing, soldering, riveting, forging and forming, and stone setting. An ongoing discussion of design and the translation of ideas into three-dimensional form will be a significant part of this introductory course. Silver may be purchased from the instructor.
