This class is for those students who are ready for intensive work with the portrait and the clothed model. Drawing is emphasized, as well as a brush-up on watercolor fundamentals- volumes, color, composition, and clean washes. Portrait Painting includes study of the structure of the head, anatomy, expression, and lighting and shadow. Painting the clothed figure begins with some life drawing to attain structural and anatomical understanding and some plain drapery studies to show the nuances of draped fabric, before continuing with the clothed model.
