(January 22 - April 15)
This workshop encompasses both basic drawing and watercolor techniques. Drawing begins with the analysis of basic shapes (cylinder, sphere, cone and cubes), then continues with two point perspective as well as the study of light and shadow. Watercolor will follow the examples of the drawing. Clean wash fundamentals, volumes, composition, color, and spatial relationships will be explored. Subject matter includes still life and some landscape. Demonstrations by the instructor illustrate all techniques. Students will be evaluated at their own level. Materials list sent upon registration.
