Have a Blast in our Green Foundry, casting iron from a traditional cupola furnace. This workshop will focus on casting gray iron into ceramic shell molds. Each student will create one object that will be molded and multiplied in wax. Lost wax technique will be explored and iron cast. Furnace construction and operation will be discussed in detail along with the different molding techniques. This class is open to beginner sculptors as well as advanced.
