SA 4: Personal Vision in Fused Glass

This workshop introduces basic techniques and skills necessary to create an abstract or narrative fused glass panel. After learning how to cut and shape glass, students will concentrate on creating design concepts that embody their own voice and personal vision. Exploring the diverse opportunities of various kinds of fusible glass to create designs, students will be introduced to rit, stringers and noodles While learning how to prepare and operate a glass kiln and the characteristics of fusing and annealing glass, students will explore the different approaches that can be taken to arrive at original designs. All ability levels welcome.
