Capture a fleeting moment in time in this seacoast painting on location class. Explore the seacoast's towns, rolling fields, marshes, and rocky coasts. With nature the source and inspiration, students will observe light and shadow, the vibrations of color between them, and attempt to paint the moods, colors and fleeting qualities of light that create the essence of place. Students will learn the basics of blocking in a painting with a focus on simple shapes and values and try to selectively capture the character of the particular landscape on view. Bring a digital camera for additional reference. This class will be all lein airunless it is raining. We will work within a radius of 15 miles from Sanctuary Arts.
