(June 23 - August 11)
This is a beginner class on basic jewelry making techniques. We will cover traditional techniques and their variations, with some helpful bench tips. Through demonstrations and lots of time to work, students will learn basic techniques such as sawing, soldering, riveting, forging, forming, and stone setting. An ongoing discussion of design and the translation of ideas into three-dimensional form will be a significant part of this introductory course. Silver may be purchased from the instructor.
