Paint on location and enjoy the experience of observing nature, creating it's mood, and capturing the essence of place! This 2 day workshop will begin indoors with a briefing on basic pastel techniques and helpful tips on how to select a view. The remainder of the day will be spent painting on location. The following day students will work in an indoor setting, editing and refining their paintings. Individual attention will be given, with an emphasis on composition, mood, and color. If it rains, students are requested to bring several photographs to work from in lieu of painting outdoors. Bringing a digital camera is recommended, but not essential. All levels welcome. Bring a bag lunch.
