This course is for anyone who would like to immerse themselves in the world of plants and learn to realistically draw the flowers they love. Come for the fun of learning or refine the skills you have. You will work from live plants and other natural forms. We focus on drawing skills, with lots of helpful exercises. The course covers methods to see and draw accurately, tonal shading, compositional design and balance and how to interpret botanical features. You will acquire pencil techniques and explore other drawing media. Use this course to make a traditional botanical or let nature inspire you to create decorative designs.
