Dewitt Hardy, 12 Weeks
Monday 10 - 1, September 29 – December 15
We will begin with the study of landscapes as long as we can work outside. Later, using the studies as inspiration, more elaborate watercolors will be created in the studio. Topics include both linear and aerial perspective, light, shadow, and atmosphere. Skies and clouds will be explored, along with structural composition, spatial relationships, value contrasts, and other landscape painting techniques. Demonstrations by the instructor illustrate all techniques. Students will be evaluated at their own level. Bring outdoor watercolor or French easel if you have one. Materials list sent upon registration. This class is perfect for beginners!
