Bring along a sketchbook and two pencils and try this simple and fun technique to quickly sketch nature. Using a white and one dark colored pencil on mid-toned pastel paper, you can effectively capture the drama of a seacoast landscape. The rocky beaches and marshes quickly come alive applying the white pencil for highlights and the dark pencil to shadows, allowing the paper to be the mid-tones of your subject. A useful technique for sketching while on vacation if time is limited. All levels welcome.
