"The Innocence of Youth" by Christopher Pothier

Many artists through the ages have used the clothed figure as a source of inspiration and challenge. Different than just the nude, a clothed figure can represent emotion, circumstance, and culture, lending a theatrical quality to drawing and painting the model. Using color, pattern, and texture, we will place the clothed model in a variety of poses and use multiple sets of clothing to achieve our goals. We may even get into props as well. Students may draw or paint, or even do both, in the media of their choice.
