Sean Kramer, 10 Weeks
Wednesday 2 – 5, October 5 – December 14 (no class November 23)
In this course we will combine literature, symbols and art-making. The first part of class we will tell and discuss and learn about fairy tales: their structure, symbolic journeys and landscapes, and wonderful imagery. Then for the second half of our time together we will work on projects that bring that imagery and symbolism into visible form. Suggestions will be offered--and students will be able to work on projects and in the media of their choice. The deep archetypal tales, and each participant's inspiration and work, will inspire and suggest ways of connecting with and expressing the rich imagery of fairy tales.
