$365.00

4 Day Intensive

Friday - Monday

June 20, 9– 3

June 21, 22, 23, 10- 3

This workshop is designed to teach students the fundamentals of painting on location through the study of light, color, value and atmosphere through close observation of nature along with a look at tools and techniques. With an understanding of these principles, students can more easily meet the challenges of plein air painting: working directly from nature, constantly changing light, and capturing the essence of a landscape quickly. Each session will be split into two parts, an in-studio discussion of materials and techniques, and painting on location in the seacoast area. Students will need a portable easel, painting supplies, drinking water, food and sun protection.
