Thursdays, February 5 – March 12
6 Weeks, 6 - 9p
This course introduces students to the time-tested methods of classical realist drawing, rooted in traditional atelier training. Through a series of guided projects, first-time students will learn how to block in a subject, simplify what they see into clear shapes and values, and use light and shadow to create the illusion of depth and form. Returning students, including those who’ve taken the instructor’s earlier foundational drawing courses, are welcome to pursue more advanced projects such as cast drawings, master copies, still-life studies, or even personal subjects of their own choosing. All levels welcome.
