Mondays, February 2 – April 6
10 Weeks, 6 - 9p
In this 10-week course, students will focus on one of the most expressive and challenging aspects of the human form…the hands and feet. Guided by sculptor Anthony Alemany, you’ll learn to observe, interpret, and sculpt these forms with confidence and sensitivity. We’ll explore structure, anatomy, gesture, and rhythm through model studies, demonstrations, and one-on-one feedback. Students will work in clay to create multiple studies emphasizing proportion, expression, and the relationship of hands and feet to the body as a whole. Classes will include demonstrations, anatomical references, and discussions on how subtle gestures can convey strength, emotion, and movement. This course emphasizes observation, design, and the expressive potential of sculptural form all while keeping the process engaging and fun! $70 Clay fee included in tuition
