This 10-week foundational course will give you the skills and techniques for sculpting the figure from life. Anthony Alemany will teach his approach to modeling the figure from start to finish using a live model. We’ll work through a single long pose at 1/3rd scale, draw from the model, and produce a couple of small sketches from the pose. Classes will include demonstrations, working from a live model, and one-on-one feedback. This class will emphasize the systematic study of proportions, anatomy, observation, interpretation, special techniques and methods. I hope you can join us as we explore working through the figure.
