This 4-day intensive workshop offers the foundational skills of sculpting a portrait from life by sculpting the underlying anatomy, exploring the muscles of the face, and learning how a knowledge of anatomy helps one to better understand the portrait. Suitable for all skill levels. Includes demonstrations, step-by-step processes for working from a live model and one- on-one feedback. The workshop format allows students a total immersive experience. Sessions will emphasize the systematic study of proportions, anatomy, composition, and gesture while exploring creative finishing techniques. Students have the option to fire their portraits for an extra fee.
$140 clay and model fee included in the tuition
