10 Weeks
Monday 2 - 5, October 6 – December 8
Each student will be asked to focus on a Master of their own choosing, gather some information on that master and apply what you see and learn to your own work. It could be as straight forward as copying a painting by your artist, doing sketches, trying out various techniques, or exploring why you are intrigued by this artist. The goal then is to help develop your own voice. We will explore how your artist might be influencing your work, or has a connection to your ideas and goals. Part of the fun and learning experience is sharing your artist with others. If there is more than one artist that you want to tackle, that is fine too. Bring in mediums (oil, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, collage—depending on your chosen artist) and plenty of substrates to work on and practice with. All mediums and levels welcome.
