7 Weeks
Tuesday 10 - 1
September 29 – November 10
Autumn brings new colors to the landscape and fall garden. In addition to the vibrant changing leaves, we have pumpkins, sunflowers, dahlias and other botanical treats. This class series will explore fall themes as we cover the many core techniques unique to watercolor. Loose washes, negative painting, glazing, and more will be demonstrated as our paintings progress. Various uses of masking fluid will be shown as well as ways to achieve texture and saturation. We’ll start with studies of our fall specimens/scenes and evolve into a more layered, detailed painting. (If weather permits, we can paint outside for a couple of sessions).
