6 Weeks, Mondays 10 - 1pm
June 1 - 15, June 29 - July 13
Water is one of the most difficult, elusive, frustrating things to paint for any landscape and seascape painter to tackle. Even just a little trickle of a brook with only a tiny glimpse of the liquid stuff peeking out between grasses in a wonderful pastoral Vermont landscape can prove to be a real rascal. It will be our task to look at how others have tackled this problem and hopefully find some real solutions and techniques to combat this age-old dilemma. Bring photos to work from or paintings in progress that might be vexing you. There is also a pond on the Sanctuary grounds….and perhaps a puddle or two from which we can work as well. Plus, something watery to work from which will be a surprise. All mediums accepted, all welcome who accept the challenge!
