SA 5 COLOR MY WORLD - MASTERING COLOR WITH WATERCOLOR with Margaret Dwyer

$298.00

Wednesdays, February 4 – March 11

6 Weeks, 2 - 5p

Watercolor is a unique medium that involves the use of transparent and opaque colors. It also requires one to save areas of white paper to create sparkling highlights. With the overabundance of paint choices now available, it can be challenging to know what to buy or what to use. This class will dive deep into the use of transparent vs. opaques, mixing vs. straight from the tube, and knowing the properties of each color in your paint box. Many techniques will be demonstrated throughout this class, alongside the importance of brushwork. Our subject will be landscapes, real and imagined. You can work from photo references of your choosing (maybe create your own set of watercolor vacation postcards), or try an imaginary landscape that is more process oriented. You will be surprised at the many ways landscape elements can be achieved with natural looking textures, washes, and COLOR!
