SA 22 B Friday 9 – 12 (June 7- June 28, July 12- Aug. 2)

Using functional pottery you created is extremely satisfying. This class will take you through the entire process of learning how to make pottery on the wheel. This includes wedging clay, centering, making a cylinder, finishing your work, and glazing it. Intermediate students can learn more complex shapes, form altering, and pulling handles. We will have 7 classes of wet clay (forming pottery) and an 8th class to glaze bisqued pottery. We will use a high fire brown clay and glaze fire in a reduction gas kiln. Lab fee includes 25 lbs. clay, glazes, firing costs up to eight pieces and a basic eight piece tool kit.
